Product Description
Peavey Ecoustic Series amplifiers are highly versatile amplification systems designed for acoustic instruments, vocals and line-level devices such as samplers and audio players in performance and rehearsal applications. The Ecoustic E110 provides 100 watts of clean power into a bi-amplified system containing a 10" full-range loudspeaker and a high-frequency horn. Both channels operate independently, with 9-band graphic EQ on channel 1 and two-band adjustment on channel 2, a Notch Filter and Phase Inverter on channel 1 to control feedback, footswitchable Mute/Tuner, and more. The master section includes digital reverb, chorus and delay with channel assignment and parameter adjustment, and the optional foot controller allows users to access up to eight presets plus an onboard looper.

Pleasantly surprised!

I played this amp in a local music store one day wasting time while Mom was shopping. I was in there basically just to look around until Mom was finished with what she had to do. I grabbed a lower end guitar, and asked the sales associate if I could plug it into the amp. I was so surprised at the tone and the sound that this amp produced for a lower priced guitar. All I could think at that point is how amazing my Taylor 314 CE would sound plugged into this amp. For about a year I have been making my decision. I finally ordered the amp on Wednesday around 3:30 PM. Around 10:45 AM the amp had been delivered. I was not expecting it for another week or so. Much to my surprise it was sent from Andy's Music in Mobile, Alabama. I live about 300 miles north in Alabama. I was so excited at how quickly I received the amp. I will update this review later if I have any trouble from the amp. At this point, it is too early to truly review the product completely. I just wanted to let everyone know that Amazon and Andy's Music in Mobile, Alabama is awesome.

Good sounding amp--but heavy...

I get paid to play a variety of styles of music. Both solo and in groups. I have owned and used an AC-60 (great amp) a couple of Crates (mediocre) a couple of Fender Acoustasonics (good amps) a Genz Benz (good, but also heavy), and a Bose PAS (nice, but a hassle to set up).This amp is quite good if you own a Baggs DI. I couldn't get a good guitar sound through the guitar channel until I plugged in a Baggs preamp (a gigpro) and flattened out the EQ. Then, voila, it sounded GREAT! The voice channel is nice and the effects are hard to understand at first but sound pretty good. The bass response is very nice out of the 10 inch speaker and the highs aren't abrasive at all. I love the way this amp kicks back like a wedge monitor and the controls are easy to reach during a gig. Unlike some Peavey amps I have used, this one doesn't feed back through the mic very easily--even at higher volumes.The only problem is that this amp is heavy. At least the handle is very comfortable and doesn't hurt your hand as you are carrying the amp.I didn't think this amp was loud enough at first and I had a hard time believing that it was 100 watts, but it delivers the goods.
