EXCELLENT

The guitar came thru quickly...arrived in perfect shape...double boxed for protection....the guitar was made in China but it seems to be well made and the electrical tuner and preamp are terrific...this was a reconditioned guitar but who knows what was wrong with it as it seems perfect now.

Sturdy, booming sound, affordable

This is a well-made guitar for the money. It's all laminated, so it doesn't have that tone that you hear in more expensive guitars. Of course, you have to spend over $1000 to get that tone, so you shouldn't expect it from a $275 guitar to begin with. It actually sounds pretty good and will fill a room with whatever you're playing. It's sturdy and mostly stays in tune. The strings it comes with are cheap and need to be replaced, and the tuner is par for the course at this price range. I think the action is a little high and it's not the most 'playable' guitar, but that's a subjective assessment. I like the electric-shaped neck that Fender used here, but the sticky, black laquer makes it a little difficult to move around. Overall, a person in this price range could do a lot worse than to buy this dependable, entry-level guitar. If you're buying this as a gift, go ahead and get the recipient a capo and a tuner.
