5Highest quality parlor guitar

I looked at a number of vintage guitars and recreations, ranging from $250 to $3,500. This guitar was as good as the best of them. The build is light and sturdy, you can definitely tell the difference from an epiphone or a seagull just holding it in your hand. It has a wide neck, better for clean fingerings, but the neck is relatively flat for a parlor with a satin finish, which makes it quick and comfortable for me. The sound is amazing. A lot of parlors can have a boxy tone, which is ok if you want to sound like Robert Johnson, but they really aren't that pleasing to play. This guitar is much more resonant, with round ringing tones that project nicely. The sound is not as complex as a jumbo or dred, which can have a lot of overtones. This guitar is much simpler, with decent separation, almost like at archtop, but richer, like a classical. Designed for finger picking, it also sounds great with a flat pick.. Goes toe to toe with the Higher priced Martins, Gibsons, Larivees, etc I've tried of the 12 fret variety.

5Same guitar but Abalone instead of Herringbone - Beautiful Sound!!!

Okay, I don't have this specific guitar. I have the Triple-0 Select Rosewood accented in abalone instead of herringbone, but the musical idea and construction are presumably the same. The tone is beautiful, bell-like, and magical. Tonal balance -- bass to treble -- is very pleasing. And while each string is clearly articulated, the overall sound is really well-integrated. The Plek-pro set-up delivered on the promise of easy-playing right out of the box. The action is low; possible too low for those who want to play loud or hard. There were a few aesthetic quirks, such as the snowflake fret-board markers are not precisely straight up and down, and there was a very slight varnish flaw near the head that could be felt but not seen. Also, if I stare hard enough, the head begins to look just a bit too small. But never mind all that. These guitars play and sound beautifully for finger-picking or light strumming. You should buy one!
