Solid Indian rosewood back and sides lined with a rosewood binding and intricate braided purfling add crisp definition and an elegant appearance. This model features a Spanish cedar neck and smooth ebony fingerboard. The neck is topped with a hand carved headstock and Cordoba Premium Gold Tuning Machines with black Ebony buttons for stable tuning and stylish looks.

Absolutely Beautiful

I pulled this thing off the wall of my local guitar shop, struck a single chord, and melted. I bought it ten minutes later and have no regrets. This thing is a bloody gorgeous. Perfect action and neck width, your fingers run up and down with ease. I just played a gig with it and the pickups are great, sounds like real wood, all my other acoustic-electrics sound like sponges. I owned a Cordoba 55FCE before this, which I thought was great for my style, with such bright percussiveness, but the Solista kicks it way up. I play a mix of latin, jazz, bossa, reggae, african and funk, mostly fingerstyle but sometimes with a pick too; this holds it all down like no other guitar I've ever played. I really can't imagine another nylon string being so rounded. If I ever have any kids and grandkids, they will love it.

I have been playing a Walden N610CE and I have really enjoyed playing it over the last two years. It is simple and straightforward and produces a pretty good quality sound. I first saw the Cordoba 55RCE at Tedd Brown's music store in Tacoma. I immediately fell in love with the look and feel of the guitar. I then pulled it off the wall and was blown away with how awesome it sounded. I tried every guitar on the wall and the Cordoba stomped them all. The one that came closest was the Rodrigez. The 55RCE had neck problems for whatever reason and I ended up taking it back. I went to a local guitar shop and he recommended the Walden as a good compromise.I still wanted a Cordoba though. I read some reviews and decided on the Solista CE with Canadian top and Indian Rosewood back and sides. I saved up the cash and went through Best Buy to order it. It came yesterday. I am blown away with the quality and craftsmanship that is displayed throughout this guitar. I tuned it up and sat down with low expectations. How much better can this guitar be? I didn't have any expectations. I sat down and played my favorite quick little song and was pounded with a forceful and deep tone resonating from the guitar. I thought "geesh it must be the office. I don't normally play in here. The Walden does not sound like that." I went and got the Walden and played it. It sounded muted and weak in comparison. I went back the Cordoba and played. WOW. What an incredible difference. The Solista projects sound out and fills your ears with hot chocolate sound. To be fair, the Walden is a $600 guitar and this is a $1800 guitar. The Walden has been great to learn on. I am really glad I was able to learn on a guitar like the Walden to truly appreciate the deliciously warm sound coming from the Cordoba.The action and setup on the guitar came with a 5 mm action height at the 12th on the 6th. Slightly lower on the 1st.I ordered the Humicase with the guitar. It comes with two humipods and a bottle of activation solution. I also purchased the digital humidity meter from Cordoba.I am completely happy with the guitar. This was a great purchase.

The Cordoba Solista CE CD/IN Acoustic Electric Nylon String Classical Guitar was and excellent choice, couldn't ask for a better sounding guitar, I'd rate it at the top of my list for a Classical Guitars, much, much better sounding then the Yamaha I use to have... and the Manuel Rodriguez Model "A", inwhich I had, I(sent it back, within 3 days), I was very disenchanted with, a total let down... I would recommend the Cordoba Solista to anyone... thumbs up!!!!
