Fender Kingman Acoustic Electric Natural Finish

As an intermediate hobbyist guitar player, this is the seventh guitar of eight I have owned over the past 35+ years. I currently own three guitars; an electric, small travel guitar and the Fender Kingman acoustic electric.After extensive research and playing several different brands, I was drawn to the Fender Kingman. I really like the natural finish, the rosewood fretboard and the Strat style headstock. The block fret inlays are a classy touch to this gorgeous guitar.Out of the box, the neck had a slight bow in the middle, so I tweaked the truss rod just a bit to make the fretboard arrow straight. The action is pretty good all along the length of the neck, but I did shave a bit off the bridge saddle to lower the action a bit more. I was not overly impressed with the factory strings, so I put on a set of Thomastik - Infield Plectrum strings. The intonation is rich and full. Harmonics are very good also. The guitar stays in tune consistently. The on board tuner is spot on. The guitar sounds great unplugged and is equally impressive amped up. The Fishman electronics are impressive, with a bass, middle and treble tone control. The Phase switch gives the effect of a bridge/neck pickup selector.The fit and finish of the guitar is excellent. The neck and body both have bindings; the body has accent striping on both the front and back. The fit is rock solid. The finish is outstanding, under close inspection there are no flaws or defects to be found.This guitar has quickly become my favorite. I would rate this with guitars costing several hundred dollars more. After all, it is a Fender; the measuring stick of guitars...
