The TG-10 is set up exactly like its big brother, the TG-18 and includes a heavily padded bag. Very nice!

When my tenor guitar arrived I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish. The sound is very bright with very little bass which is what you would expect from a tenor. The action is a little high so I plan to take it to a luthier for a set-up. The few dollars extra is justified since a Martin tenor is twice the price of the Goldtone. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend this guitar.

Well made, sounds great. The guys at the guitar shop I took it in to to have the action lowered were very impressed with how nice this guitar sounded. You will need to have the guitar set up after you buy it, because for some reason Gold Tone sets them up with really high string action and if you try to play them that way it will buzz like crazy and sound awful and you'll think you're doing something wrong. The reviewer who said her C string buzzes is probably having that problem. You can get nut slot files and try to do the work yourself if you know what you're doing,but you'd be better off taking it into someplace reputable.

For the past two years my Gold Tone TG-10 has been a great joy to own. The intonation is good and it plays beautifully. The neck fits my hand well. Any new instrument should be set up to match the players wishes and style. I like the sound of the TG-10, and even think it is improving with a little age. Although there is nothing fancy about its appearance, the instrument is made from quality materials. My only wished for change is I would add to the guitar is a pickup to get more volume.
