More electric than acoustic...

I was looking for a cheap acoustic/electric guitar for the house. Overall Im very happy with this item.The guitar is made in China (by Johnson who make cheaper priced guitars), but plays really nice and I would say is comparable to the Epiphone SST in playing style. It's not very loud when playing without an amp. It has an excellent built in tuner and electronics controller. The strings were crap and needed to be changed out right away. The strings action is very low to the fretboard, action more like an electric guitar, very nice.This is a pretty nice thin-body guitar and could be used in small gigs. It does sounds really great plugged into my VOX amp. Frets nice and smooth (and very soft on the fingers).

I found one of these when stopping at a mom and pop store in Delaware. Very cool body shape, but totally acoustic sounding. Great feel, a very thin neck, electronics sound really good for a guitar at this price.I gig for a living, so a guitar is a tool, whether it's expensive or inexpensive. I can see this getting some use at gigs as the neck is very electric feeling, which is what we guitar players always want.Gonna fool with some different strings, flatwounds, bronze, nickle and some others to see what will sound cool.For the money, you can't beat the price, features and it's uniqueness.
