Good Starter/casual Resonator

Played this Washburn at Guitar Center in Nashville in mid-October 2011. The fit and finish were quite acceptable and the guitar sounded very good, even though it needed new strings. Setup was a good compromise for a combination of fretting and slide which I do in open G tuning. Of the several reasonably-priced resonators I have played recently this is one of only two that I would consider.

Own it, couldn't be happier

I bought this model at Guitar Center a few months ago and could not be happier with it. I'd always wanted a resonator, and had played some nice ones for 6 times the price of this one, so when I saw the $400 price tag I had to pick it up. I haven't been able to put it down since. Guitars have personalities, and learning curves, and I took to this one like a fish to water. It sounds warm and wonderful, the action & playability are perfect for me, the tone & volume are uniform up & down the neck. I find myself looking forward to coming home to play my guitar again, and when I do, asking myself why I'd ever want to play any other guitar. I don't know if it's for everybody, but for me it's pretty much my dream guitar, at an amazingly low price. I have a feeling those of us who picked these up when they came out are going to be looked at as having been lucky.
