Even when not plugged in, you re getting a rich sound that only Takamine can offer, but when you need it, you ve got the TK40 preamp with EQ bypass, notch-filter, mid-contour and a built-in tuner. This guitar also features a maple neck, bound rosewood fretboard, pearl abalone block inlays, pinless rosewood bridge with 2-piece saddle, chrome tuners with pearloid buttons and a tortoise pickguard. i'm amazed by this instrument. the burst is much darker than shown on the photos, and that's a really good thing (it actually matches my epiphone les paul's colour!)This thing sounds really great, and it's got a WHOLE LOT of volume! my parents tell me i have to go upstairs because of the volume!there are absolutely no drawbacks on this thing!if this thing was stolen, i would buy it again! and kill the person who stole it XD! nah, just kidding... ;)i wouldn't get a backup for this thing. it feels rock-solid (when considering it's a hollow-body). but if i had to have a backup, i'd just order one more of these :DCheers!
