Impressive sound and appearance

I purchased this guitar as a factory blem on ebay. Previously I had another Washburn cedar-top (minijumbo WMJ11s) which sounded good, was very pretty and well crafted. This larger WG26s is similarily cedar-topped, w scalloped, tapered, X-brace, but with rosewood laminate body in grand auditorium size, MOP purfling on top edge and sound hole, maple binding on body and neck. This is a very classy looking instrument with beautiful trim, striking bear-claw waves and shimmering highlights & swirls on the top. The neck is very comfortable, fretting is smooth and true. Playability is excellent with only minor tension-rod adjustment needed. The sound is classic rosewood: crisp and projective mid/high range, clear & pleasing (but not boomy) base notes. The cedar top has a mellow and full warm sound -- more like a 20 yo piece of spruce. (I'm 67, can't wait around...) These guitars are priced about $300 - $350, some less. Unbeatable value. Simply stunning appearance, sound and action. I love mine. I actually prefer it to my '70 Martin D18!
